Starter dragging issue
« on: June 03, 2022, 02:16:14 PM »
The starter on my 2010 Yager 200i labors when cranking the engine. I've cleaned and checked all wiring connections. Any other ideas of the cause? Thx.

I neglected to mention that the battery is new and tests good. Also tried another known good battery with the same results.

Ruffus, I will try the suggested fix with the grounding cable this weekend. Great investigative work!
Cheers!

@Rickster, also check fuses, particularely their cabling beneath, there are some hidden corrosion nests.
Best you begin your probe with jumpstarting directely on your starter motor,
shows you whether it's faulty or not, then start relais, start switch on your handlebar and so on...
