Klav - I don't see where you told us the reason for a new scoot? Are you getting rid of any of your current rides? Is this an addition to the stable? How did you decide on the new Honda? What are your thoughts on the ride, power, handling, etc. so far? How does it compare to your Kymco 150?

I have had enough issues with my Like that I don't really trust it enough to take it on a long ride anymore.  On top of that with gas prices skyrocketing I wanted something more fuel efficient.

I will eventually sell my Like although I am still riding it.

How do they compare?

The Like is more comfortable.  The Like feels quicker but I'll need to have someone help me run them side by side and see if it really is.  I dragged raced a ADV150 once with my Like and the Like was a tiny bit faster.  The Like has better brakes but they are both very good.  The ADV150 handles much better and works much better off the pavement.  My first fillup on the ADV150 calculated at just over 99 MPG.  I generally get 70-80 on the Like.

The ADV150 is a Honda and I expect it to be more reliable.  The styling is really eye catching.  Everyone wants one and they are almost impossible to find.

The two scooters feel very different.  I will be keeping the Like for a while.  Eventually I may replace it with something like a Super Cub or Grom.  Those bikes can easily get over 120 MPG.

I expect to ride the ADV150 more than I did the Like.  I have been averaging 5,000 miles per year with the Like.  I expect 6-7K per year on the ADV.

Z66 is an upgraded suspension but two wheel drive.  I bought it in 2002 and expect to keep it another 10 years.

I am now over 300 miles on this scooter.  My second fill up calculated out at 91 MPG.  I expected a drop as I was riding higher speeds.  Saw 65 MPH on level ground during a brief run on the local interstate.  Going down a fairly steep hill I ran into the rev limiter at 69 MPH.  With a 2.1 gal tank this scooter has pretty good range.  I plan on taking it on longer rides in the mountains where that range will be nice.

Some pics from my last ride:

Nice photos there!

Nice Scooter too!

I really wanted a PCX but nobody anywhere near here had them.

They did not have the ADV's either.

Hope you are enjoying the hell out of it!

Honda makes great rides!
I'm sure it's a joy to look at the construction up close.
Once again, I gotta say - and I'm including my own 2 scoots - scooters take a big step towards goofy looking with the addition of ugly top cases🙃

I tend to agree with you regarding the appearance of scooters with top case. I think some scooters actually look fine with one but most don’t. Yet, I’ll get one for every scooter as I need/want more storage for groceries, etc. And, the AK550 is the first cooter I’ve owned that I could store it in the pet carrier. Sometimes function wins over form.

That's why I put good looking top cases on my scooters, not ugly ones ;)

I ran that through the big Vespa forum....where I received a lot of support for the idea that , "all top case detract from a scooter's appearance!"
Certainly one can say the same for every motorcycle sporting all that Samsonite hanging on its butt🙃....never is but an embarrassment to form.

But  JMHO...

I agree Stig, but as always in life it’s a trade off, balancing a hit to the aesthetic versus the practicality of load carrying ability. Since buying my first top case back in the 80’s I’ve been happy with that trade off.
