Right 1st time Viper!  Even going as far afield as SouthWales it’s the same story, no stock or idea when!  Just been browsing BMW C400X’s again…

Wow. Such a nice dealership. I wonder what they'll do instead.
Rides;

Suzuki GW250 Inazuma (2016)
Honda C70C (red, 1983)

A Yamaha maxi not in the running?
For me, the only equal of Honda.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

I am actually a sucker for anything Suzuki, despite the finish not being as good as Honda by a long shot.

Yamaha I've never really gelled with but I wouldn't rule out trying them again one day.

Sadly the scooter range from Suzuki right now is absolute dross.

Well they've already taken on Royal Enfield, Royal Alloy and Sym...

I like the look of the T-Max, but not the price!

Ah, they've gone down the MotoGB route.

On the upside, that'll give them access to the surprisingly nice Benelli range

It has, it does and they have them in the showroom already!

Latest thoughts are to save my cash and invest a small part of it uprating the suspension of my X-Town.  Current favourites are YSS if I can find out which ones will fit - they do not list the X-Town in their catalogue  :(  I'll keep you posted.

This will be of some interest to me!
As, I read a long time ago (Asian you-tuber who raced scooters) that there IS NO magic shock which gives very much improvement to a scooter's rather harsh ride over the stock shock from the manufacturer.
He said - and I've read a very few times by some honest speaking installers, who agreed afterwards - that once you spend the big $$ on the pretty colored shocks -  it is a foregone conclusion (due to vanity?) that they improved the ride - when quite likely they did not!

I'll trust you to put this to bed for me.

As you know Stig, I uprated the back end of my PCX125 with YSS shockers and it did seem to improve the ride appreciably to me.  If I can get hold of some for the X-Town I'll let you know.  With my 104 kgs on board the poor scoot thinks it's carrying 2 fat Koreans around all the time as it is!

Well that was a number I wasn't expecting!  6+ months before they expect to get one!  Had a long chat with Karl the Sales guy and Roger the owner during which they admitted that after a 50+ year relationship with Honda they're ready to throw in the towel.  Seems they can't get anywhere near the numbers of machines they are ordering so today when I visited, the showroom was stuffed with (readily available) Royal Enfields, Benellis, Sym and Royal Alloy machines.  Have Honda lost the plot?  Shame because I really liked the look and specs on the X-ADV.

So where do I go now?  Probably back to the Kymco dealer who advised "next day delivery" for a DTX 360!  Watch this space.
At this point who ever has a scooter in stock. DAN'S Cycle is having a difficult time getting inventory and long waits on parts.  If it hadn't been for my large collection he wouldn't have had much inventory to sell.

All my scooters have sold with the exception of the 3 in parts in my garage. I still have 3 BMW'S  on consignment with him for a premium price. My Majesty sold for double suggested NADA.
In parts 200S and Grand Vista and my motorcycles 2 CS BMW'S and one GS BMW.

Sold-32 Kymco scooters of various sizes this summer.

If/ when I'm able to ride again the Honda X-ADV350 would be on the short list. I like the Kymco as well. At this time I will probably go with a Side x Side with power steering, A/C and heater that I could take the Collies with me.

Sounds like a plan KK, fingers crossed 🤞

HONDA UK HALTS SALE OF 10 MODELS AMID ‘UNCERTAIN’ FORECAST OVER PARTS SHORTAGES

Honda will stop taking new orders on ten of its motorcycles in an effort to ease pressure on a backlog of orders delayed by parts delays and shipping issues…
