New Gas Cap
« on: July 17, 2022, 09:56:07 PM »
Can someone tell me which gas cap I need for an xtown300? The universal one I got doesn't fit and I've spent WAY too much time looking for one that says it works with my bike. I'm clearly missing something because this should not be a hard thing to find. :)

Begs the question why do you want one?  Have you lost / broken the OEM one?

I'd try https://www.bike-parts-kymco.uk/kymco-motorcycle/300-SCOOTER/X-TOWN

By the way, welcome to the Forum.  A great repository of knowledge on all things Kymco - not counting myself of course!

Like Neil: why? Like John: dealer as most Kymco gas caps are model specific (with a couple of minor exceptions).

Salvage yard/breakers for motorcycles and scooters are always a good source.

Part number should be 17620-ABD2-C00. This is for the cap alone, no keys. I believe it is cable operated to open?, maybe no keys required. If not and you need a key to match you would need to order a Lock Set which includes all items which require a key. Ignition switch, etc. PN 35010-ABD2-E00

My X-Town cap is key operated.

The mircofiche frame I attached is for a 2021 and up. So, if the poster orders the cap he would likely need a key. Not sure if any locksmith could cut one. If not the poster would need to purchase the entire lock set. PN prefix #35010
