Unfriendly shoulder - then I went Australian :-)

Out for coffee this morning.
not a welcoming shoulder along here.....

In the dark I came upon something new on my recently loosely graveled route..
I'm headed south for a bit on the new gravel, but the north bound lane looks like it might be sealed,....or paved?

So, sealed is better than loose... therefore I turned my helmet around and rode Australian* all of the final few miles!

3 hrs later, in daylight, headed home - I see now that it was not as nice as I'd hoped. But at least no more loose gravel....and the dried tar has softened the edges of the gravel for my tires.

Stig

* no traffic out here before sunrise....& if there is I can see it for miles.

It's not Australian unless a spider crawls across your visor ;)
