DT X360 battery charge
« on: September 08, 2022, 06:50:26 PM »
Let it sit for some time during summer break(kids, wife, car,  bike had to stay locked at home...only for daily commuting to work and back)
and now we're back from vacation after 5 weeks and  it wont turn or unlock.

How can I access  battery terminals to hook up a charger to fill it up and then key and all Will work.
Now it is locked in my garage, no power.

Thanks

Hello, and welcome to the forum!

Is there a manual seat un-lock mentioned in your owner's manual?
One that does not require electrical power to operate?
If so, and if your battery is located under your seat.....

Also, I would think that your owner's manual will tell you how to access your battery - so that you can recharge it.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

Thanks for the reply,

The key is wireless, no metal part...
And manual is inside the seat

Will call the dealer tomorrow and see what they suggest, Just hoped there is some access to charge it since key does not function w/o power

@TommyEu, welcome here too.

Two options (depends on model)
-open with your remote control
-open by putting your key into ignition lock and turn left.
There is another option, can't tell publicely. Only if your dealer cannot help, send me a PN.
Pls give a feedback, open for any further question.

I dont have access to battery or some wire that I could charge it off...
I really would not like to have to break in my own scooter or have it towed to shop.
Just some way to give power so key can function and I Will charge battery once I can open seat via normal way.

There is one big plug  that looks promising?

Yes, follow that hint. You need not charge your battery, just put voltage into the system.

dealer reported that battery is not under seat but in front under windscreen/bodywork...
so that is the way to go, will undo few screws and report with pics for some info if others will need same thing.

thanks

It would be a wise precaution to hook up a battery tender once you have access to prevent a recurrence?

Welcome to the forum.
Kymco should supply one with each of these scooters!
