Well, that was a surprise
« on: September 23, 2022, 11:03:27 AM »
41°F this morning.
My battery gloves are home...and neither pair are recharged🙄
Detoured to Tim Hortons....4 miles from home. Will be RTB soon!
Gotta pay more attention to the forecasts!
41~!....was nearly 30° warmer just the other morning

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

49 degrees this morning at wake-up time (otherwise known as mid morning for Stig!)

Glad I got in my evening ride on Tuesday as it was the last hot, muggy evening of the season (high in mid 90's during the day)

It was around the 60F mark for me here in jolly old Blighty when I went out for a ride yesterday.  Perfect riding conditions and I really enjoyed myself thinking "this is why I love riding".  Soon be an endurance test I know so I'll make the most of the good weather!

Here on the northwest coast, Washington State, USA, I think we share some things weather wise with parts of the UK. Not quite as far north, but the Pacific waters keep us wet and cool. Highs have been in the 60's F. Riding the Downtown 300 has been very good lately. Lots of short rides.

Take our pleasures while we can eh Art? Planning another ride today, but we’re now down in the 50’s so it’ll be chilly soon enough.

a lot cooler, but surprisingly no frost yet, close, 39-40,  38 is that magic number down to 32 that your just not sure. water doesn't freeze till 32, but ice isn't completely thawed till 38 or some such thing

but, we always have an Indian summer, right about leaf peeper time, mid October

Cracking photo Randy!

just something I found online, but a good example of the views, you can easily imagine the leaf peeper tourist it attracts, they clog up the nice roads, but we don't mind the money they spend

Ah man....the 🍂 autumn in N.E. is an amazing time!
I lived in Mass in '67 and again in the early70's.
Our rides were a new Honda 90 snd a 2yr old VW bus....of equal horse power 🙃
Our little student apt at U Mass in Amherst was home base for a lot of scenic outings!
Enjoy!
