1st time long-time visit to my Kymco dealer
« on: October 12, 2022, 08:39:07 PM »
Not much to see. Few Kymcos, almost no new Honda bikes, next to nothing used. Ducati's are missing from the floor.

I was impressed with how big the KLR's are.
OK - so - if you don't live near the Sahara, or plan to climb the Rockies this week, what do you do with a big heavy tall motorcycle with skinny knobby tires???! Going interstate cruising on knobbies....or are they "all hat no horse" kinda bikes?
Adventure bikes seemed to be popular a few years ago - my son's Honda CB500X was a pretty cool street bike, with appropriate tires....very easy to ride, nice upright position, wide bars. Superb quality build.

BOTH PRICED AT $5999.00

several of these and bigger. My question to the salesman, "wouldn't it make more sense to buy a Jeep?" He said, "Yeah, they're big toys!...Jeep'd  be shorter, too!"

my nearest scooter dealer in 44 miles away, in Columbus, OH.
Honda Super Store 35 miles in Troy....but Honda USA quit scooters - save for little ones and the PCX.

Looks like more scooters than the dealer out here in rural Northwest Washington.

I'm surprised they had 2 Xmax's.  Those are almost impossible to find in stock.  Those look like older models as the 22 models are blue.  Or maybe the 23's are that ugly color?

Same colour as my X-Town Klav!   And you're right, it's a Fugly colour...

I am not a fan of any of the matte finishes - even the blue on on my scooter. I find the reflective surface far more pleasant to view. YMMV

I shoulda took a picture when I bought my AK, a showroom floor half full of those lime green Agilitys no other color, and most of the rest were clean used bikes

Same colour as my X-Town Klav!   And you're right, it's a Fugly colour...

When I was investigating an "internet special" price on a left-over Burgman from a distant dealer - they mentioned over the phone that they had both of the color options for that year, all black - and a black & shark grey combo. The scoot MSRP'd for $7999.00 - but as a left-over floor model with 0 miles their price was more over a thousand less than my local dealer's one left-over model of $6999.00. So we made the deal via phone & emails for "OTD @ $5999.00"....and I got to choose the grey w/black model!
It was a handsome model, and at 500lbs it rode like a Buick compared to my 265 lb LIKE, nice wide seat w/butt-stop which could be adjusted back, and loved the full-time twin headlights for my nightly rides! Even the new models are nearly as shapely to my eye....but in the matte finish. Which I never got crazy over!
It was a solid scoot - but too much scoot for my needs after retirement. Sold, via the Burgman forum,  it to a fellow 2400 miles away who'd never owned anything but a bicycle! He paid for the $650 trucking from my driveway to his. By all reports - he loves touring the NW USA with it.

Yep, your old SuzieQ looked good in that black Ermax Stig.
