I think it may be getting to that time again. The front Michelin CG2 on my scooter has now done 6,500 hard miles and is beginning to show signs of wear although, to the naked eye, it still looks to have plenty of tread left. The signs I am feeling are through the steering which now gets "squirrely" over white lines and a lack of "feel" on wet greasy roads when tipping it into bends. In the past, both of these warning signs have been completely addressed by new rubber!
After 4,000+ out of the rear, I had hoped to get 8,000 out of the front given my motorcycle wear rate of 2:1 rears to fronts, but it seems the scooter ratio is going to be different. Maybe 3:2?
EDIT: Jury is still out! Before ringing up my tyre guy I thought "best just check the pressures first"... Long story short, the rear needed a couple of psi, but the front was a good 8 or 9 psi light. After confessing that on here, I need to take a ride tomorrow to see how the handling feels. I'll post again with my findings.
