If the dealer gives you a hard time, just tell him that when you came out of church following your choir practice last week, you saw a gang of hoodlums bent over your scoot messing with the wiring trying to steal it.
You confronted them and had to take on 4 of them (all much bigger than you) bare-handed, but were able to defeat them and save the scoot while also saving an elderly blind woman who was being mugged by the hoodlums.
Conversely, you could just tell the dealer to piss off if he gives you a hard time about it.
Oh, and for the record, your scoot should have a little tool kit strapped under your seat - it has a screwdriver so in a pinch you should use that instead of a knife to do maintenance on the scoot.
