I was in the grocery store today with my newest granddaughter ('little what's her name'*) getting things for Thanksgiving dinner.
Came across this roast in a cooler.....

Some of my daughter's school friends were driving "$100 down, make weekly payments" beaters.  (sort of an automobile)
This may have been the most expensive piece of meat I've ever laid eyes on!

I told my wife that if I served that at Thanksgiving, "I'd be charging her relatives by the plate"

Still amazed....

I just spent $240 at the grocery store, first time over $200.  I's been inching up, but it jumped with the recent diesel prices, mighta been 2 days before Thanksgiving, but they were outa a lotta stuff, an no Wickles pickle products in the store at all.

wasn't that long ago, I could overfill a cart for less than $100

Only buying for the two of us, and yes prices are really up.  No sign of weight yet.

To be fair, that is a particularly delicious looking piece of beef.

I'm near vegetarian nowadays - still have the occasional bit of chicken and fish - but the creeping prices of meat are particularly harsh.

It's only 10 years ago I was riding a £100 moped around to work and back.
Rides;

Suzuki GW250 Inazuma (2016)
Honda C70C (red, 1983)
