2017 UXV 450i
« on: January 29, 2023, 09:45:03 PM »
The unit ran fine for along time.  It sat parked for a few years.  Went to use it, and the fuel pump does not come on when you turn the key on.  Battery is good...so I bought a new fuel pump replacement from China,  and it still won't come on.  I am lost and sad that I have this brand new unit, and can't use it.  Any help would be appreciated.

First thing is to check your fuses...if they are good then start chasing wires and connections.  Try your pump directly from the battery to be sure it works.  Check your battery with a digital volt meter...should read 12.6 volts or higher, 12 volt reading means your battery is almost dead.  These newer electronic systems require a battery at 12.4 volts or higher, low batteries dont work nowadays.

Any trouble with mice in your neighborhood?
"parked for a few years!"........after you've proven that your alibabba fuel pump works.....might take a look for rodent evidence.
