Starter issue on 150 super8
« on: March 05, 2023, 09:18:52 PM »
Hey all,

I just got a 2021 150 super 8 and I’m experiencing an odd issue. Once the key is turned to on, both breaks engage the starter when pulled. This is happening without actually pressing the starter. My concern is that I’m going to burn the starter out while riding since I’m constantly engaging it by just breaking.

If anyone has an idea of how I can go about fixing this I’d be very grateful!

Welcome to the forum!

Is your scooter still under warranty?
Might try a little electrical cleaner spray into the starter button.
Might be stuck 'on'.

Not stuck on but does engage when either break is pulled. I’d think you’re correct if it was just the front break but the rear does it too! So so strange

I agree with Stig...it's acting as if the start button is stuck on...waiting for either brake to be pulled to activate the starter.

Can’t hurt to give it a try. Thank you both!
