NSR got a battery electric string trimmer
« on: March 27, 2023, 01:23:31 AM »
First doing yard work is way down my list of things I enjoy.  One of the reasons I live in town on a small city lot.  A nice thing about the battery trimmer I bought is the battery lasts about 20 to 30 minutes, and hang the trimmer up and,  it's out for a scooter ride.

Since I started collecting Ego brand electric outside machines I am thinking that when my current corded string trimmer breaks I'll be going with an Ego battery string trimmer. So far I only have the mower but want to replace the snowblower as well. Maybe I'll find something "broken" with my current string trimmer when I decide I'm tired of dragging the cord around the yard.

Recently had my wife decide for me that I'm stuck with my monster 2 stage snowblower until it breaks. Usually she likes to recover some $$ when needing to replace stuff but I guess that only counts with cars and houses. Oh, and freezers since she decided we needed to get a new one before the old one breaks so that we can sell the old one! I prefer to sell other stuff like my outdoor equipment before it breaks too but I guess since those are my things it doesn't matter so much.  >:(

Picture ! Not like I'm bragging about dating Marilyn Monroe.  Got a Stihl, on paper it's underpowered, but have a small yard. It's really light weight, very quiet, and doesn't throw stuff around much, don't need to dress up in a hazmat suit. Has a nice system to renew the line.
And the local scooter/motorcycle dealer sells them.     Art

That's a little beauty!
30 yrs with the county clearing 100 yr old overgrown cemeteries, and the like - my crew used nothing but Stihl equipment.
Never wore one out!
Felled 22 old-growth hardwood trees at the county children's home with a 32" saw. Turned the solid, healthy wood into 71 cords of wood for auction. Proceeds to the home.
Good stuff.

(did chip one tooth with that weedwhacker! safety glasses - but the thing caught me smiling stupidly!)
(one of my prisoners didn't wear sox - man that thing taught him a lesson!)
