Can't lock keys in my Bestem case
« on: March 27, 2023, 05:25:33 PM »
I like that feature with this case! Need the key to lock and key to unlock!

On a sunny day in your front yard - no big deal.....miles from home in a rainstorm in the dark - BIG deal!

Not to mention the LED wrap-around DRL's and the brake lights!

My Liberty's Piaggio accessory case.....locks when the top slips out of your fingers! I have to be so careful!

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

That's a good point Stig, my old Givi case would auto lock, never did so with the keys in there, but...  Now the new Shad case (made by Givi) will not let you lock the keys in it, phew.

Stupidly tried to lock the car from the open tailgate* yesterday, but the clever Mercedes sensed that the key was still in the ignition and refused to cooperate with the operator error.  Again, what a relief.

Tailgate has two buttons, one to auto close and one to auto close AND lock vehicle.

Love when cars are smarter than we are!
I once lost my LIKE key one winter day in YellowSprings.
Lotta fun looking for it - where have I been - where could I have dropped it? etc.
Finally - after a long enough lesson to teach me something - I put my boot up onto a chair, reached down and unzipped the cuff of my over-pants.

The set of keys dropped out.

I'd missed my jeans pocket when putting them back through the hip opening of my over-pants!

At home I set about securing a spare set hidden on my scooter! It would be easy to lock keys under the seat!
I saw them again when wiping the scoot down after yesterdays rain ride.

Nice we can admit to our stupid faux pas on here without judgement isn’t it?
