yeah boy it rained~!

Almost laughable to go for coffee....**
but temps were do-able

grabbed a pic at the hospital where my wife and daughter work....and then the rain started!

parking places open so a quick pic before Dino's opens in a few minutes.

daffodils were just getting started

The local celebrity arrived in the village in his G Wagon.
As I was climbing on to head out into the rain he came across the street to go into Tom's grocery - we swapped humor, ("Say, you got an umbrella bud?", "You're a crazy mother for riding in this!")
He said something about friends or family owning a "couple Kymcos",  then told me to be careful. (helmet and earplugs - so I didn't catch all of the conversation) Friendly guy.
It is an understanding that he & his family can enjoy living in this village of 3500 souls, quietly, and without photos. (daughter & I saw him beg off pix by a couple of tourists one day - he did it diplomatically)
He used to own a heavily modded scooter - and still rides various motorcycles.

Very wet ride - thought about that old Power Pure under me!
Hanging up wet gear and wiping down the scooter is another 45 mins of tasks when home.

** daughter speculates that my rainy days in 'Nam are why I don't shy away from rainy scooter rides....quoting me, "It rains. You get wet. Then you dry. Don't mean nothin'!"

It’s not so much me drying out afterwards that is the issue, rather getting the sodden kit dry again as for some reason my otherwise wonderful wife objects to dripping motorcycle clothing draped all around the kitchen!

Not young and still learning...

I've noticed that my nice hi viz Oxford Rain overjacket is getting dirty on ghe back.....so this day I dropped my wet helmet on the kitchen table and went straight into the bathroom,  grabbed a towel and...dried myself, still in the jacket...like I'd just gotten out of the shower!
Worked a treat🙂
Wonder if it can be laundered?

Sadly, not an option for me anymore since the advent of WFH...

Seems like the best day we have had this year.  Clear and sunny, temp around 60 F.  Farmers are working the fields. Got enough miles for the 600 mile oil change.    Art
