Twisty Riders roll at "Toys for Tots".
« on: December 05, 2010, 10:15:13 PM »
Well the Twisty Riders decided to do our most frightening ride yet.  The local Toys for Tots motorcycle parade.  This is quit a big deal in our town.  Last year in sleet they had 900 bikers.  Not sure about the numbers today but it was sunny and over 30 so i'm sure we were way over last years number.

6 of us joined up for a quick lunch and then headed into the Harley/sportbike/touringbike mosh pit..  I have to say it was a little intimidating surounded by all those "grown up bikes"!

As far as i could tell we were the only soots on the road.

I didn't notice any obvious dirty looks and we all made it home alive so it was a good day.

BTW i gave 2 scooters of course.  :)

Yes i watched what other local clubs (who all failed) did and then from the git we were built around day rides.  NO bar runs.  Avoiding that whole vibe has made the club a very positive, ride oriented place.
