Power restriction
« on: April 22, 2023, 10:49:54 PM »
Hey guys!

Here again. I would like to ask, if there is any (manufacturer added) restriction on new scooters, which are holding back maximum power of scooter when its new (to prevent damage to new engine). Something on clutch or variator I suppse. If is, can I ask reseller where I bought my scooter to remove it? (after I reach like 2k km)? Would it void the warranty?

Thank you for answers and be safe!

@AchnatonSVK welcome here!

AFAIK here in Europe we do not have on scooters such items to restrict perfomance.
Only recomandation is to stick to factory suggestion concerning speed and revvs during a certain time.
After this time (and you want to upgrade) different companies offer performance kits/sets/parts.
Happy and safe scootering, Ruffus

There is nothing installed to interfere with power during run-in ops.  However, it's also not possible to increase power on fuel-injected machines because the power settings are pre-programmed by the ECU.  What you see is what you get!
