38 days later Michelin is on my LIKE200i
« on: May 12, 2023, 11:39:05 PM »

This is on my 2013 LIKE200i.
Have a City Grip II on the rear now - and a City Grip I on the front.
I do recommend using a new axel nut and new exhaust header nuts, and bagging and labeling the bits in case you don't get back to it for a month!!

...also - I glued the gasket to the header before wrestling the exhaust back under there, and removed the O2 sensor so as not to damage the wires.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

Yes - the thing with the wires.....
Glad I double checked all my work the next day. I found that this sensor wasn't securely tightened.
(it took me longer to figure out how to un-clip the clip ---- than it did to remove the sensor from the exhaust. Talking about the wiring socket under the seat. Every darn clip has a special trick to open it!)

I thought it was. Here in missouri we do not need emissions inspections for motorcycles, only safety. Although it would help with tuning the engine.

O2 sensor is pretty critical for feeding back to the fuel injection system!

On previous scoots I've removed it early on, copper greased the threads and replaced it, as they tend to seize on as time goes by.

Agreed about it being essential to the EFI....and yes, I was pleasantly surprised at how easily in wrenched off!
I struggled with the pipe so much I was afraid I'd break the wires - so .....cool, it screwed right off!
