new setup. I can use both oem lighting and when on back roads by myself flip on the off road light. 500 percent or more light. I know it looks like hell but who cares. just cut out a section of front plastic. there is a small bracket enough to mount a frame for lighting. I may eventually find a legal light to install but it is safe to ride when on a dark road at night. plus I can reach down with left hand and adjust it high or low quite easily. I connected directly to battery through a handlebar switch. I have a 200 cca battery installed as well on bike as oem is lame and part of the problem.
sorry about the earlier ranting. this was such an easy fix and I get so upset with being sold something that is blatantly crap that I forget how much effort is put into the rest of the bike, which is top notch. fix your lighting now people and show some photos so others can feel empowered. It cost about 25 dollars to vastly improve the light setup.
