My 2021 Kymco 450i LE Prime keeps stalling
« on: May 20, 2023, 06:13:33 PM »
Hey fellas!

I thought I'd try my luck in here because from everything I've read so far, the people on this site know their sh**!

So my 2021 Kymco 450i LE Prime has recently begun to stall on me & I'm just not familiar enough to troubleshoot it myself yet.

It was riding just fine but now, when as soon as I start it,  it'll begin to putter & 7 times outta 10, it'll just stop running.

If I give it a little throttle I can usually keep it running for a cottons minutes but once again, it's pretty short lived.

When I'm riding,  it'll run but I'm still noticing some weakness on power.  Also, when I'm coming to slow stop, or go too throw it in reverse,  it'll quit on me again.

I'm just not sure what steps I should take to get my baby running again so I can feel that confidence in it when going on the trail.

If anyone would be willing to share any pointers & advice with my I'd GREATLY appreciate it! I just hate to take it to the shop if it's something I can fix myself.

Thanks you guys!

Aw, JD! You are too kind!

I vote for stuck fuel tank vent valve! Next time it starts to wussie out take off the gas cap....you will see instant recovery if venting is the problem.

@Jdbarne11welcome here!
As first aid I would follow CROSSBOLTs, then if no success I would look

- my manual and some videos to know what part is which to distinguish between all this tech stuff
- renew sparkplug + cap and cable (condition and fit)
- strong spark
- check fuel filter
- see my fuel pump working
- check my injector (fine spray)

Come back anytime for Qs.
