3 Ohio riders hurt in charity run today
« on: June 25, 2023, 09:01:07 PM »

Approx. 100 riders participating in a charity run today here in Ohio.
The memorial run was raising money for the Sojourner House, which helps abused women and children.
A car turned in front of two of the bikes - the riders swerved to avoid the car - lost control.....one looks to have been a three wheeler. One care flighted , two ambulanced away in critical condition.

Ohio highway patrol is investigating. But we riders already know how this happened....

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

You bet! Motorcycles and scooters here are virtually invisible. Distance judgement is measured in inches and anticipation distance not much further away than the hood (bonnet) ornament.

Surprisingly, considering most everyone is self-taught, things are quite orderly. Not discounting pain and suffering when crashes occur but things go surprisingly well considering the variables. None of us would survive anywhere in Asia!

Yes Karl, the art of defensive riding.  We all need to practice it.
