shifting problem

Hi everyone. My problem is that up to 50 mph indicated all is fine with shifting but at 50 mph indicated the bike stops accelerating. It will not shift to a higher speed unless I reach 50 and then back off the gas a bit and then the tranny will shift so that my speed increases. Is this the clutch drive faces not moving properly? I have not had this problem in the past and have just noticed it. Have not changed anything for a few years and then all I did was to lighten my roller weights a bit. Thanks for any input. Brian.

I'd want to pull the cvt cover and look at everything..is belt old? Everything functioning properly? Another option would be the carb and fuel delivery...but pretty unlikely that the main jet clogged, those are big and hard to clog up.

I will take a look but it is not fuel or carb. As long as i keep throttle to go fifty it does not shift any more until I let off the throttle. Then I will hear the engine slow down a bit as the tranny shifts and ipeed goes up to about 64 indicated. Same thing every time. Think the plates on the back end are not moving until I let off the throttle a bit? Belt new. Carb new. Contra spring weak over the the years maybe?
