Lcd screen brightness- kymco xtown 300 2022
« on: September 16, 2023, 02:11:37 PM »
Hi all - my (awesome) x-town 300 screen has no way of dimming at night, and the lcd/instrument cluster is distractingly bright at night!

Anyone got a way around it?

I might add a light-dependent-resistor to the backlight or a variable resistor- anyone tried this?

Thx

No, but you might want to look into what they've done with the DT X360 as mine auto-dims at night and in tunnels. No idea where the sensor is though!

Hadn’t noticed that as yet on my DTX360 Steve, will now look closer!

You’re right Cranky, the white light lcd panel is bright at night, though it was just something I lived with on mine. Hope you find a solution.
