AALLLLRIIIIGHTY THEN.....
I went out and tried this again, going down1 size on the mj did seem to help a bit but it still has a slight silent spot on DE-accel right above idle position.
When taking off it spits up to half? You can baby it some. Don't get me wrong, it's still going but you can tell it's just "clearing her throat", then it's fine. So, that's rich for the 1st 30ft???
Still wonder about pj change/needle raise ??? ??? :-\ :-\   ::) ::)
Im going to try again here in a bit, i won't get to play with her much tonight. I have a paper due in the a.m. to finish.. :'(

You might just go down on the pilot (jet) maybe 46-47. These carbs are TWEAKY. If you do try raising the clip after a short test ride. Mine took 10-15 re jets to balance it.
This would be a good spot to mention after correcting the 2t ratio (thanks Bats) as SOON as the new mix hit the cyl. it picked up both rpm's (maybe 100 or so)and speed (1-2 mph). Had to turn down the speed screw too.

 Hey Z. Well the jet pk i have didnt come with a 46-7.. Gots either 42, 45, 48(which is in now)

needle in the 2nd slot(almost down)
Mix at 1 out...

I did install a different clutch a bit ago cuz the flys in the other clutch are toast.(i can pull the shoe out 2" by hand) and now the takeoff is slacked off. Doen's "Grab" like it should, it wants to "ease" in to going. I'm afraid these gears are going to mess with my at the cvt time.. I want that "jump" off the line back. when you wop the throttle i want to see that engine jump... 8)

Another question, my pipe sat on the shelf for like 8 months untill this build.
The pipe is ALOT louder now. sounds like a PISSED weedeater. Is it possible the packing dried out or something making the loudness? idle is seems quiet but when you give any throttle watch out :o
I'm sure to piss off the ppl in town with that noise. ;D   Whats hat old saying i said from the bike days????????    "LOUD PIPES SAVE LIVES"..

Another, is there any way to remove the "blueing" i have on the pipe? (small spot after the 1st bend)
Kindof hard to see any gold color appearing with the blue in the way.. ::)

Mix at 1 out...
try turning the mix out to 2- 2 1/2. It will lean you out to see if the bog goes away. That screw does a LOT on these. You may then be able to richen the clip too. Don't sweat the blue bro. sh** happens. I don't really have a super launch either... so I just keep rolling the throttle. It's not a drag set up. I think my springs are equal to bic pens springs, and luv it. It just rolls like a manual clutch. No more 5-6k take offs.
your pipe is louder cause of the bigger exhaust port. Not much you can do about that either. Try some shredded fiber glass stuffed into the silencer as you push it together. You can pack it in real tight, and It may quite down a little

Well dam, i liked that jumpiness.. Sitting at a light, wop the throttle and jump.. ;D
I figured this thing would JUMP on the rear wheel, gears or not... :D
I didn't think the pipe should be messed up since it only had like 1000 miles on it.

Well, I'm trying to get me a few adjustments on my carb today during writing this dam essay paper.
I had went and reinstalled a 45pj and that SEEMS to have helped that 35ft spit.
I still havent really went over 1/2 throttle yet but DAM, at 1/4 throttle an cruising 50 at 72-7300rpm. I wanna try this bitch WFO. ;D ;) As of now the cvt is still off of ccourse. I tried spinning the tire and it didnt want to spin as easy as before(but the cvt is off too)
Thought of maybe raising the needle up 1 slot just to richen a bit but idk yet

Hey Z, you may be able to answer this one. What size allen head is in these forks?
My forks need redoing and i've not tackled that chore before.(i can hear the oil squishing in the forks. The handling dam sure isn't the same right now. ;))

I dont know the number allen I just use the one that fits. A metric SET at the hardware...
I have 8wt oil, and a 4mm spring shim that made them quicker on the rebound.
If you have air your seals are shot. Get them at the auto parts... You dont have to disassemble the forks either. You can "pick" them out w/ an aAwl, and small hammer. Or put 1 tablespoon of Brake Fluid in each fork. The fluid softens, and swells the seals. The effect never stops either. Dont use too much or it will dissolve the seals. ONE tablespoon

Finally took the zx for a good ride and wouldn't you know she broke down.  :'(

IDK WTH happened but for some reason my gear oil burnt up. Something going on in the rear end.
CVT was fkn HOT, i thought the belt went from the noise and actions, when i pulled over she didnt want to roll, i took the cvt cover off and seen the cvt LOOKS ok, then i drained the gear oil on the side of the rd for S&G and it was BLACK. I just fkn hope any gears are NOT broken.
