SOOOOOOOO, IDK ATM if i fkd up and installed the gear backwards to cause this or what. Of course i never had any help, input, visuals with a gear swap so i guess you can say i was the dam guinia pig and it looks like i cost myself an expensive set of primarys.
Learn from my mistakes folks.
I hope one day this thread does help someone with their ZX but of course you may have to sort through the anger, frustration, language that comes from me. I hate being the only one in the mtns. to mod, build scoots.

That my friend, is the $64,000 question...
My initial thought was maybe i had installed the gear backwards that runs on the input shaft as seen in the pic at the rear tail light

I am the ONLY one for 100 miles in every direction that does this. People see me zooming around, and it brings plenty of scoot repairs. I still don't get what happened... If the gear or boss were a few thousandths too big it would create heat, and burn the oil. Is that what happened? Or was there an alignment/meshing problem. Gear angle?  There should be about 1mm play thru the entire drive train.

The input shaft gear looks like it was knawed on, lile you tried shaving the gear?
The only explanation i thought of was a backwards install but i guess not.
The gears had came from Steve at M.H
Everything had went together nice and smoothly, no troubles. Even pressed the gear on the small shaft easily.. Everything turned nice and smoothly. She couldn't get a wheelie with the gears but i knew that going in..
Maybe those Motorio gears werent intended. I had thought they were going to be straight cut but when i recieved them, they weren't but then again IDT the oem were either. Steve had directed me with that purchase. I wouldn't have thought any angle, mesh issue since everything was smooth....
Maybe that should have been the warning label.. Smooth install = trouble ahead..

All the aftermarket gears are angle cut. It lessons the "noise". did you remember to add oil? I call MH, and see what they have to say... Maybe a "common" problem?

Yeah, she had oil in. After i seen the cvt appeared ok, i removed the drain bolt and that's when i seen the BLACK gear oil and knew something was wrong..(90wt gear oil)

What brand were the gears? Maybe cheap SOFT steel? China part? You have alot of torque hitting THAT gear so maybe just cheap!

The secondary gears i installed are fine..which are Motorio. I changed secondary, not the primary
Nothing happened to THOSE gears.. The INPUT shaft/clutch shaft is whats fkd.
Which makes no dam sense to me....   Something fkd up the angle, SOMETHING, SOMEWHERE, SOMEHOW but it looks like that will remain a mystery. It looks fine inside cept for that shaft and the burnt gear oil mess.
Maybe the "Mystery Machine" will pop up for a house call.    
Thats why i thought maybe installed back wards but i reckon not...

 His vids didnt show a thing. He likes talking, playing music. Yeah, he has a fkn worse 'tude than i do. WILL NOT speak unless you "donate" $ to him. I had FINALLY gotten a reply one time back in the day from him. No help, no info, just wanting a g.d "donation"..I think he's given up on scoots as well, any newer vids are of painting

The only OTHER explanation i can even think of is if the hole that the gears sit in has been "wallered out". If THAT'S the case, then the WHOLE ENGINE block is fkd. Here is the hole i'm speaking of...


That could cause a mis-alignment i'd say

The angle being off is the only thing I can think of myself... But that should not be. If that were the case one end of the gear would be shiny worn, and the other would be untouched
