Sorry, can't help you there mate, I am in about the same boat. I seem to be rich at low speed, but not at wot. Might need to lower my needle, but, a 38 pilot and 120 main, I am already at the second lowest setting, won't start when cold without the choke. My intro to carb tuning is a bit frustrating.

While I was running 3/4 throttle it was ok, now that I have raised the gearing with the belt and weights, around town am only using lower throttle openings, it is too rich, haven't done any adjustments today.

I may be on to something here with the carb..... thanks mainly due to "SHAKA"...... installed a 120mj,45pj, needle in the 2nd slot, mix screw 1 turn out... Seems i have more rpm, more top speed now at only 1/3 throttle, topend is still flat, gonna slap in a 115mj and see what that'll bring

Do you find that you lose a lot of throttle smoothness with the needle in the second lowest setting? With mine it has a point of almost nothing then almost screaming.

Actualy no, i still had spit/spudder at certain rpm with the needle in the 3rd slot, shaka talked me into swapping the 120, then bam went to crap, lowered the needle and now more rpm/power.. I'm liking this so far, didnt get a chance to try a 115 today, stormed again for a bit.

Well guys, i haven't updated this in awhile so i figure now is a good time...
A while back i had a "major meltdown" on my very own "suckubus". A c-clip had came out of the piston and just disappeared. I thought it destoyed my crank bearings. I took the engine apart and to my amazement seen the piston looking good. I removed the head and discovered that the c-clip was missing, hence the failed bearings. The wrist pin had made it's way out to RUB the cylinder wall REAL GOOD. A nasty groove all the way...bbk shot in the ass...

SO.... I FINALLY decided to put back together oem modded again. I took the oem cyl and started porting the transfers and boost...

NOthing done.....

I got all the porting done and now was the time to split the cases to swap the bearings.. Little did i know it WASN'T the bearings that failed on me..... :'(

My dam crank BROKE. A nice clean break too i might add.. I was not expecting that one there. :o
Bearings seem to be good still.. ??? :D
That was real heart breaking to see that when i was all ready to exchange bearings. HOLY BREAKDOWN BATMAN!!!  I guess a tuners saying of "if it ain't broke, you obiously haven't tuned it enough" rings so dam true about now.... :D ;) Thanks for the words luke. ;)
Just goes to show the ABUSE a kymco can handle. ;)

Damn that sucks, how the hell does a crank break? Who did you buy the crank from?
Good luck with the rebuild.

I just saw the pics, did you have a rear wheel seize to cause the break? or was it "just one of those things"?
I paid $110 for the stroker crank, you can get what I think he calls a reinforced stock crank for about $78. I will have a look and see if I can find a link.
