What going on guys?.. Seems to be a bit slack in these parts lately...
Well, i think the time is here for me to get to rebuild my zx and FINALLY,HOPEFULLY
add my 7" extension but i am having a time trying to decide which route to go. I'd love some input.. maaaaybe sid will come back and chime in also.
As some know from the pics you see, my crank is broke in half.(dam, did i post em here too?
?
)
If not i can to show...
Anyway i HAVE to have a crank regardless.. SO, should i get a oem again or upsize a bit to a 44mm.
I am looking at 4 kits right now...1). is from carlos(48mm)....2). is a "riuma" brand(47mm)....3). is from "jiangwayne"(48mm) and 4). is also from "jiangwayne" but a 50mm.
A 47 kit with oem crank would end up @ 71.8.......with a 44mm crank @ 74
A 48 kit with oem crank would end up @ 73.8.......with a 44mm crank @ 76
BUT i wonder what sort of trouble the 44 would end up being on the port timings?
(the 47 kit i had did require a spacer,a lil work to get my target numbers)
The 50mm kit would really need the 44 crank to get the most out of it i'm sure(a 50 on a oem crank may be a huge battle?) So that should end up being a 80-83cc. A baby stroker. I'm thinking the reliability, etc. wouldnt be hurt to bad, not like actually STROKING it out to a 122-125. Now THAT, would be aweswome but then you'd have to rebuild every cpl thounsand miles i'd say..
There is only a $50 difference in going either 70-72 vs going 80-83...
So, has anybody have any input on the "riuma" brand or kits from carlos(sids did seem to be good) or "jiangwayne"(z went missing on us sgain...lol)
Or about the extra 4cc from the crank.. Only a $10 difference in price there. 4cc for $10 sounds good to me.
Any input is greatly appreciated. Should i stick with 70 or go ahead and see whats in store on the other side?...
