..front wheel locked up onna damp, white painted arrow..what a shame...scoot didnt have hardly a scratch on it before...

..it has awesom take-off, i put in a 1000 contra for him..tried 7.5 gr sliders, but it didnt like them...tops out @ 54 indicated...

I can FINALLY update a bit now....

Excellent, good to see you are now making progress. Building it will be half the fun, but when you ride it, you will love it.
It seems that someone has pissed zombie off, don't know who or what about, but i only read a few sections of the forum nowadays. Must be something I missed on another section.
Keep us posted with the build, kinda envious that I'm not doing it again.

I did tear the rear hub apart to install the 15/42 gears i never installed. Need any info while i'm in here?...    I hope to have a port map,etc made soon now...

Yeah, miss him too. Nah, no info for me, zx is gone. I am now playing with a Sym VS125. I have just put in a 150 engine. I think I will just ride it as is for now. However, If I can find a frame to put all my other bits on, then that will be open for modding .

What is the deal with Zombie ? Did he get banned ? I would think the forum would appreciate a member with his wealth of knowledge . May be I am slow witted but he never offended anyone that I noticed . I enjoyed his postings . Oh well , I thought he had just lost interest untill he returned recently . At least people will be able to reference his past postings through the search feature . Good luck Zombie and thanks .

I agree with word , and I don't understand what is really going on . I do think it is a shame that Zombie dosn't want to participate on the forum anymore and the forum IS less without him . I suspect if I had a choice between Zombie and whoever he is at odds with leaving I would side with Zombie . JMO .

Well sh**.... Not much of an update.. I keep hitting snags everytime i turn...

For some reason my piston stops. It's not rotating but only 1/2 turn either way.
I do guess i will have to tear apart YET AGAIN cuz i never knew the boost port was so much bigger on this 50 kit vs the old malossi kit i did have on....
Hey Z, and you installed this kit???
Hey sid, did you port for a 50 or to the 47?(port match) Did you have an issue with rotation with the 50?...

Forgot to ask you sid... Did you need to do any other porting with the 44 crank?

With the 44 crank, I had to trim the skirts on the piston of the 47kit, not the 50. I had matched the cases to the 50 kit as that was what I was running at the time.

Hey Sid, thanks for a reply. Yeah, somethings in a spot on this. The only thing i can possibly see is that on the oppisite from the boost port isde, that extra casing sticking out. Josh did mention that it would only need to be a tiny bit.
From the looks of the boost, it appears i never touched it. And believe me, i have at least 6-8 HRS in those cases already.. . MAJOR difference.



I remember a build that Josh had done but of course it was bigger than this(it went to a 120) but all the casing on the front side was removed.
I'm going to try a lil trimming of the cyl skirt 1st and see if that fixes anything BUT from the looks of that boost, i'm going to HAVE to tear it back down and port match that massive space. :'(
I tried marking the piston and cyl. skirt to see if any rubbing was going on, is why i'm going to try to "shave" a bit off 1st.
