Oil leak from oil level sending unit
« on: December 19, 2023, 08:45:38 PM »
I posted this in Tech section but didn't know if everyone saw it there.  My ZX50 has oil leaking out I think from top of the sending unit on oil tank.  I would buy a new one but can't find one online.  Wonder if I can seal top with silicone including where wires come out.  Anyone do something like that.

It is bad form to post the same topic in two or more sections of the same forum. Persist and nice moderator man gonna getcha! You have been asked for pictures. Not many two-stroke owners on here but many wooly-headed mechanics and techs are and they love pictures.

Picture doesn't really show anything just oil leaking on top of oil tank coming from sending unit because when full the oil level is higher that oil level sending unit.
Looking for a place to purchase new sending unit but have not found in stock anyplace. Part number is 35410-GR1-9000
