I have a few neighbors who ride big bikes - one who rides daily.
He's out in his garage, starting his HD - probably just wanting to hear it running



I keep them hooked up to battery tenders through the winter - sometimes even in the summer riding months.
When I ride out for coffee on cold winter mornings in the dark - I want a very healthy battery to get me home!



Bit of a waiting game before I can watch another sunrise on my scooter.

Stig, I bought myself one of those NOCO Boost Plus battery jump starters for Christmas..will keep it in the car (and will go in daughters' cars when they start driving) but can also use it to jump start motorcycle/scoot. You have room in your top box for something like that if you ever want the additional peace of mind..

Yeah - I've thought about one of those Hawk.
My 2 scoots batteries are behind a bit of a panel, after removing a pair of screws. Not a big deal - unless I'm dead along the road-side 90 mins before sunrise on a windy 27°F country road.
So - do these have a fitting to work with a Batter Tender's quick connect....which I have very easy access to?

Also, I'm looking for an a air chuck fitting that will connect to those stupid 'clip' ends on the business ends of most portable, home air pumps ( and on stand-up bicycle pumps)
I'd like to connect something akin to those brass air chucks found on the ends of red hoses at gas stations. You just press it on the stem and you're getting air. I find those a lot easier to use in the confined spaces of scooter wheels, and around some automotive hub caps.

Winter time is when I go looking around for stuff. Like a new digital Slime air gauge. Mine - the battery is many years old.

In this snowy week - I'd take even a nice, wet, ride!

Stig,   I think the portable jump starter only comes with the 2 heavy metal clamps..not sure if you can send the juice required for a jump through an SAE type connector? I used to leave my 2 screws for my battery cover off so I didn’t need tools to open the battery cover. Not sure if that is practical on yours?

Thanks, most of us have done that - but question was can a "jump" safely be given through those battery tender connections. Maybe not.
Also ...large font size means you are shouting at us!

Be warned to use this SAE type plugs/ connectors to jumpstart any motorcycle.

It would need a least a cable diameter of minimum 4(four) sqmm NOT to heat up and cause a fire.
I have seen glowing cables which were even thicker than that (though on cars).

I've been considering remote battery posts, 10 AWG should be sufficient, my chart says it's 5.26 sqmm

edit, found kit on amazon 8 AWG = 8.37sqmm

I like that my K-Pipe also has a kick start, and don't mind using it, nearly always starts first kick
