Actually I think Kymco made a genius decision to partner with Harley Davidson in their joint project called LiveWire and that alone will get Kymcos name out there while selling new electric cycles alongside H.D.
Even if it doesnt make a *huge* wave it should be enough to turn some heads in the Western world and get more butts on seats!

article is 3 years old and this is first I have heard..... if they really wanted to market, I'd have heard of it long before 2024

Like every other large electric bike, that e-Harley was a total bust! They couldn't even give them away!  If you've ever ridden one, you'd know why!  Kymco probably picked up the entire enterprise for scrap value.

I haven't ridden one, but do have a friend who uses one on shorter group rides and seems to like it.
Personally though I agree.  That's a lot of money for essentially an in town to in suburb bike.

The lighter e-scoots, & larger e-bikes do seem to be moving into the light in town/50cc market though.
There are scenarios where I'd pick one up, possibly swap one of my bikes for it to get the garage space, or if moving to a more apartment style urban dwelling floor space in the unit since there's 0 chance of them leaking oil.
Think I'd keep my smoke detector up to date, & make sure an electric rated fire extinguisher is charged and available just in case though.  Not a huge number of battery issues out there, but enough to be prepared.

IMO Kymco should spend a little more money on customer service. Zero communication when you order parts, no idea how long they will be or where they're at. Even the dealer hasn't a clue. That's BS.

I still find this interesting as my local Kymco dealer has been able to order anything I've needed and had it ready to pick up within about a week.

Kymco USA is doomed if the crazy person is still at the helm. Our big talker of a few years ago has disappeared into other opportumities and his project to expose and depose Mandy, the insane CEO-ette of Kymco USA, has stopped.

Things are bright if parts are readily available. Regarding marketing, one must have an imagination of sorts...
