2006 kymco espresso 150 exhaust info

Hi
Im looking to replace my exhaust (rusty holes) and the kymco dealers have quoted $600 for an OEM part.
Is there a cheap alternative. Is the engine a GY6? Could I purchase a cheap chinese GY6 exhaust and would that fit the exhaust port? Im sure as long as it fit the exhaust port and come out the back without hitting the fairings I could retro fit some type of brace at the back end...what u think?
I dont think the bike is worth the $600 spend but I would love to keep the bike on the road despite its faded and rusted appearance as it is a very good bike for 40K kms.
Any thoughts or solutions?
Thanks in Advance
Rusty

Yes, its been done.
Take any aftermarket silencer which fits from lenght and widht, cut off this pipe which comes from cylinder and weld it on this aftermarket piece. Bolt it properly and deal done.
