Starter brush springs
« on: June 04, 2024, 12:51:12 PM »
I have a zx50 with an sc-10 motor. I erroneously removed the case and armature from the starter instead of the starter itself, and I believe I lost the brush springs. At the very least there are none in it. Assuming that there are, where would I be able to purchase new springs?

Also if anybody would have a link, or a proper part number for the crankshaft gasket, I would appreciate it.

Lastly, does anyone know of a site where I could find out the year from the VIN?

Thank you in advance!

Try any of the VIN decoders on the web. Phone a dealer and give him your vin.
Once you know the year you can check if your part is available - I'd bet a spring is not available - and that your option is to buy the starter, assembled, from Kymco - or match it and buy a compatible starter from ebay.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.
