Alternator
« on: June 16, 2024, 06:30:10 AM »
Hi all, bought a Stryker as my first bike,

the first month has been real good. I recently have struggled to get the bike going in the mornings. I ride to work at 3:30am on the mornings when im not at school. Last night the battery died and this morning aswell. I live in South Africa so its quite difficult to get parts. I don't know what the nominal voltage should be.

I know of course it should be 12 - 12.4V with engine off but what should it be at idle/higher revs to indicate the battery is charging and that the alternator isn't faulty.

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum.

If it helps, mine shows 13.4 to 13.7v when running.
