NSR: too long a carpenter?
« on: June 23, 2024, 11:34:55 PM »

While we strolled a coastal board walk with scenic ocean views today, I was left behind....because,  as usual,  I was checking out the quality of it's construction.
I called the family back to show them something they'd missed.
Pointing..."this baby is the longest 2x6 I've ever seen!"

Daughter gently took me by the arm and bought me a yogurt.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

I built my barn from trees on my property, I cut some 20ft logs for 2x10 rafters, I ended up with a leftover 20ft 1x16 white pine board clear lumber no knots, still have it in my barn loft, too nice a board to cut up, once thought of turning it into a sign, but I have retired and closed the business
