Comes I think from riding scooter to work at 5:30 - really liked that time of day. I'd take the long way around the city to get there.
Then I 'quit' - (HR, "Tom, you're retiring!" Call it whatever you want - I'm out of here in 14 days!) and kept getting up and riding at that time of day. Then I expanded my routes - until I found a destination. Hang out with street-peeps and have coffee!

+1 Hawk!  Mind you, on the odd occasions I have been out that early on 2 wheels, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it.
