NSR: Driving the Tail of the Possum for coffee
« on: September 02, 2024, 03:33:34 AM »
This w/e I drove the Tail of the Possum here in rural Ohio, to our rental cabin.
Narrow shoulderless roads posted up to 55mph with frequent sharp, dipping, turns and steep, steep farm hills - with the added terror of blindly taking out an Amish farmer on the Austrian side. And there were some....horses pulling a piece of farm equipment, etc..

The locals of course are driving so as to secure the pole position at Tractor Supply??

One sign suggested 45mph at the base of a blind leap of pavement followed immediately by a hard off-camber left turning. This one actually caused us to LOL, after we caught our breath.

Think rally driving without the route book.

I had a coffee to decompress

then I continued to decompress

About half afraid to leave!

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

Why would you want to leave Stig? It looks idyllic!
