Is this because you fill up so infrequently at the forecourt?

I didn't make it!
Fortunately the scoot has a healthy rubber reservoir around the filler neck. Drained it below.
No running problems afterwards.
My LIKE200I would have had some complaints if I'd done this with it.
Yeah - s'why I never fill at the pump.
Piaggio/Vespa products are infamous for their tendency to burp over! Aftermarket sells a cup to place in the neck before fueling.
