China regulators
« on: January 06, 2011, 04:25:27 PM »
I found this on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/50-70-90-110cc-Voltage-Regulator-ATV-Birt-Bike-Moped-/160517980949?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item255f9e0315#ht_4108wt_939
I was wondering if a regulator from china is just crap or if they are all the same?

I guess the components inside may be lacking quality but buying from the US does not necessary mean good quality components right?

I think I may need a new one but will make sure tomorrow when I will have some time to do some measurements. If this is no good, anyone know a place that sells good regulators?

They are all "crap from China", including OEM ones and whole Kymco brand, if I may add...

Confucius says:
A wise man buys three.
One will probably not work at all
One will malfunction in a month or so and if you are lucky.
The third one might just last forever.
