geez I was wet!
« on: September 30, 2024, 10:55:11 AM »
My feet were squishing in my boots ! Never had that happen before after a rain ride.
Drying them carefully - then I will look into some sort of repellent spray from amazon.

Any recommendations?

I did have to re-route yesterday morning when I came upon a road closed sign. I had to stop and think - but there was nothing for it, I would have to back-track and ride through 2 miles of very large trees overhanging the road. Not fun in the dark and rain after a storm with very high winds. *
In Y.S. there was a lot of junk in the streets....

Whatever...but by dang I was wet a couple hours later when I arrived home!

* a couple of years ago I came upon a motorcyclist being loaded into an ambulance. His bike in the ditch, a mail-box neatly severed.....and a ball bat sized tree branch laying in a sharp bend in the road from an overnight storm.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

I've never had a pair of boots that didn't eventually soak thru, but that's not on a scooter, but on a bike without protection from what the road spits back at you

I used to alternate between 2 pairs of boots, once the heat is going for season, boots upside down over my FHA heat vents. gloves on sticks. I've considered getting a boot & glove drier

Rode for a week once in Ireland in continuous rain and the only part of me that remained dry was my feet! The boots? German Frey Daytona's.
Regards & ride safe,
