I am looking for a CAN diagnostic link tool for this thing. I recently acquired a super clean 2011 500i. Would idle but not rev. turned out to be a bad exhaust cam. got it running and it sounds good other than it has the check engine light on for the idle speed sensor. not having test equipment i replaced the sensor but it didn't change anything. it idles at 2000 to 2500 rpm back and forth. if you unplug the sensor and pull it out set the valve manually and reinstall without plugging back into the harness it idles at 1200 to 1500 rpm and runs fine. on another note the speedometer comes and goes. could be the ECM has a bad ground?
