2010 kymco uxv 500 aftermarket shock?
« on: March 01, 2025, 11:41:06 PM »
I just picked up a 2010 kymco 500 uxv that has a rusted out shock and I was looking for appropriate aftermarket style to put on as I don't wanna dish out 600 for 2 shocks. Anyone know of some that'll work that won't break the bank?

measure the length, document the ends for bolting, and find used shocks at a salvage yard, $600 for a pair of shocks sounds reasonable to me, shock I bought for my V-strom was $1600 for just one

YSS shock for my K-Pipe was $350

I understand, was hoping to find someone who may have done all that already so I didn't have too haha. I get that it seems reasonable but when you only paid 700 for the machine I just don't feel like it's worth the 600 to me. See alot of universal that come up when I google shocks for it that are running 150 for a full set of 4

not much to lose - if you try something, anything, that fits to make your $700 ride usable. IMHO

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

an Arctic Cat Prowler ? I believe is a rebadged Kymco. would be best bet for finding a used pair of (maybe 4) shocks
