Sento 50 underseat security code

I recently bought a Kymco Sento 50 4 stroke which someone tried to steal and broke the seat lock.
It was running but would stop intermittently. Next day it would start but then die after about 10 seconds.
Now it wont start at all and I have noted it has no spark.
Before I go down a rabbit hole on coils, CDI etc I am concerned about the three digit underseat security code and if that might be the issue.
I have no idea what the code might be and how the three wires coming out of it might affect the spark - but the manual says if the codes not right it will not start.
Even though it did run for a while I am not sure if I may have pushed one of the knobs around mistakenly or if this device may just have failed and then just acts like a kill switch?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Wow, an underseat 3-dial security code panel!
New stuff to me.
Reading the manual it says that if the code is forgotten - the panel must be replaced at owner's cost...it cannot be reprogrammed.
It also says that the code is best recorded by orig. owner in the back pages of the owner's manual.

any chance the orig. owner recorded "3 mystery numbers" back there?

No manual unfortunately. New one on me too! Can't even find that part on the parts diagrams for Kymco Sento!

Just unplug it and it'll start and run normally. The connector is under the seat pan.  Remove the pan, unplug the device and throw it away.  That's all there is to it.

Thanks appreciate your advice. Will just keep it unplugged and keep working on the no spark issue.
