Bent Front Wheel
« on: March 28, 2025, 11:31:48 AM »
I was hit by a car recently, and now the front wheel is out of alignment. I can't tell where the damage is. Anyone know how much this would cost to diagnose/fix? The bike is worth about $3000 when in good condition.

Oh man, that's a great looking bike!
Sorry to hear you got dinged.

Can we get a photo - to see extent of damage.
We've got 2 nearby Honda Power Sellers - I could ask them.

Out of alignment could be: since this big wheels have more leverage...

-bent axle means wheel bearings to be checked
(only rim demage is very unlikely)
-brake disc bent?
-bent steering colomn (seats and bearings)
-bent front shocks (has to be measured electronically on a bench)

If you are not a scooter fuzz give it to a certified shop to asess, fronthits are expensive to repair.

How on earth did you deduce from the OP that this was a Honda Stig?  Are you psychic or was it some sort of Holmesian deductive reasoning?

As opposed to Occam's Razor?  Which would posit that, as the most common marque, Honda would be the likeliest culprit?
