Another "Batcave" project....Upcoming L.C. S9 build

Good morning guys... Well, i have a L.C S9 05 model that i am going to build/rebuild very soon. I picked this scoot up awhile back as a few of you know already and have seen the pics but i figured i'd do a build thread on the s9.... Of course "cloud9" is "the bomb" and i cant compete there but i hope josh chimes in on this build...I have already broken the water pump cover, do have one on the way....
This will be an ongoing project as i am still trying to finish the ZX build, but will get full attn. soon..Here are a few pics for the ppl that havent seen it....

Hey hoo, Yeah it is... This one is suppose to be the bad ass kymco for a 50... I cant wait to get into this one and ride it.. I had a friend that had one and it would cruise 60+....

I will be watching this and hope there aren't too many snags. keep a good camera nearby as we want photos. I am curious as to the condition of the bike as it sits now. Looks pretty good from the photos.

My brother test rode a 2002 s9 that had been modded by a pretty good mechanic. He was found by a passing driver in a ditch with a broken collarbone and rib. The helmet had a pretty good scuff on it as well. It was the first time he had ever ridden a scooter although he has owned about 4 motorcycles. Just got away from him. Before he even recovered he bought an Agility 125 which was a bit tamer. I guess he is hooked.  What's the old saying about scars being better than tattoos? Good luck and keep us posted.

Hey thanks sparko..... IM going to start this build now... I have a nasty "snag" on the ZX...(right side case stud hole broke off.) 
IT is definately D.O.A at the moment..
The crank bearings, water pump bearings are shot..(the w.p is the reason for the "blow up")
The p.o had cut the turn signal wires for some reason. I have to rewire those..
I should have all parts for this build... I hope to get more input through out this build..(even tho all the "builders" have gone)... Man, i miss the old forum....
I will post a pic of the goodies i have for this one....

I guess you're the builder now, dude. I guarantee you the old timers are watching on this one. But you will produce something good, maybe great. If not, that is ok. Nothing ventured nothing gained. That blue color looks great on your scooter. Hope you keep it. I don't suppose you are going for a bigger bore? Keep it original and see how fast it will go.

There is a 02 s9 that is for sale close by. Might go look at it. Under 1000 miles, I think it is miles. Could be kilometers. She didn't know. Could be a steal.

Current durations @ EX. 188*-190*
                            BOOST @ 116*
                            TRANS. @ 128*-130*

The parts i was blessed with for this project...

Well, she runs....
She is a dam BEAST too. This one is probably a good 7 mph faster than the ZX. Figure i'd go for a "matte black"/red scheme. Thought i had a pic of the console/fender painted......

Now i am in the tuning stage on this...She has a nice launch but i do have a multivar, clutch to install but i'm hoping to get the carb dialed in 1st..
The carb has a 90mj,20pj,needle in middle slot ATM, thinking the neele down was better, she seems a tad slower now. Will return needle and hit another chop......

Still got the 7g rollers/stock vario (haven't installed multivar yet,idk y either) with the 2000 red malossi
She is a beast for sure but idk how "dialed" it is tho either......

DAm, i havent updated lately on me S9...
Why in the world do all my pics seem to get deleted or removed?    
I don't even remember which pics are up now.
I have been playing witht the carb again... As of the other day.. i have 85mj....20pj...S1 needle all the way up... mix @ 3/4 out...oem airbox(for the moment, i miss my noise.. )
Of course my contra went out and i installed the malossi "green" contra with 5.1g rollers. Thinking 4.5 would be better.(she still falls OUt of the band)

Well, bad news... I just blew my piston/rings today...
Pics to come and see your opinion as to the cause.. Maybe lean mix with to much oil?
She was good while she lasted...  
Thought maybe just the rings, but i can see a corner broke on the piston...
