ag 50 reving problems

My son has  a scooter, It bogs badly when reving up. I put the upgrade kit on it for some more speed. ( bushing in clutch and jet and cut cdi wire) It still wont un right. Ive cleaned the lines  and carb, adjusted intake valve to .004, put additive in it etc. still acting up. I am pulling my hair out on this and am ready to junk it. Any suggestions??????

Did you connect throttle cable to the carb right if not when you go throtle up it well bog down.
because you are opening the carb to far and leting to much air in. Or did you touch the float in the carb and maybe its sticking. try the easy things frist clean the air box and the filter see if that helps. but dont just give up and junk it you have a good scoot there you well get it.

So, it was doing this before the upgrades too?  Is it high mileage enough for the muffler to be getting blocked by carbon deposits?

no it has 207 miles total on it. and yes it was doing it b4 upgrades?  And i also have adjusted everything i can think of. I ve been a mechanic for 20+ years, this shouldnt be that hard.
1. tank is clean
2 new filter
3 carb is clean
4 air filter like new
5 plug isnt fouled
6 adjusted valves to .004
7 ran seafoam thru it
8 CUT IT IN 1/2 WITH TORCHES  LOL

have you had the muffler off lately check and and see if its tight. with that many miles it should be under waranty but no more if you did any up grades to it. Make sure theres no water in the gas.when you cut the cdi you didnot go to far I hope. also check the conections on the cdi box if it gets wet or something you should fill the cut with wax or black tap. good luck

Well, bogging like that is almost always a carb problem of SOME kind.  Maybe somebody screwed the low speed mix screw all the way in or something like that?  Or someone cut a slit in the intake where you can't see it?  Just guessing at anything. 

Don't cut in half yet. . .

Update I took carb off again. found some factory silicone in the accelerator pump.  Cleaned it out and she ran like a champ. Guess the torches will have to wait.
