Electrical questions
« on: February 15, 2011, 04:07:05 PM »
hi. can someone please tell me what to do with all these old bulbs and wires and such? i think i finally got them all even the ones my big brother ripped off and scattered about everywhere, but now i need to make room to work on putting things back together the way they should be and the way i want them to be on my scoot. i can't post pics because someone messed up the memory card setup on my machine, but i am going to double check to make sure i didn't miss anything.

it's hard to work some days because i have to wait for folks to leave the house, and then usually a kindly neighbour will stop by with food, or to pick up my trash, or laundry even and then stay at length to play with the dog i rescued from an abusive situation. other days the man near the corner from the neighbourhood watch group tries to stop by and chat. i usually try to meet him outside before he gets to the door and rouses the dog (ThaT dog likes EVERYbody and everyTHING better me, lol) and tells me stories about all the strange vehicles in the neighbourhood or about the folks talking on their cell phones on the one corner where there is a decent signal (That's for everybody but Me anyway, Where as i have To walk a mile or more to get a Decent signal, lol.)

anyway i thought maybe some friends here might have some suggestions for what to do with those old things while the house is empty and i'm free to move around the way i want. they all seem to be in working order so far. is there some place to take them to be recycled?

sorry for all the questions. i just really want to make things right again as quickly as possible. i see now that some folks tried to answer my questions before and I'm Sorry i missed so many replies. that button at the top of the forum isn't working properly on my account for some reason to get to the unread topics since last visit so i can't read the replies all together at the same time for each issue or topic.

Thanks.

Recycling electrical stuff can be difficult.
If there useful items, take them to the Goodwill or Salvation Army store for resale.
If it is just electrical scrap, then check with the city about electronics recycling.
If it is metal, then a metal recycler may take it.

Hey, Rianna.  That button doesn't always work right for me either.  I just go through the sections and see whats new.

So, what shape is your scooter in?  All together?  Just waiting on better weather?

BTW, I've ridden for the last 3 days.  First riding since November!  Feels good!  We're getting some fairly decent days here in south Georgia.

Put it on Craigslist under Freecycle!  I guarantee someone will come get it - And it doesn't go to waste.
