Glass fuses
« on: February 25, 2011, 08:41:17 PM »
I have been trying to get some spare fuses for my Super 8.  The dealer didn't have any and said they have been trouble getting them.  Wal mart doesn't carry the short glass fuses.  I stopped at a Napa Auto Parts store.  They could sell me to separate kits of 5 fuses each.  One has a 7.5 amp fuse and one has a 10 amp.  The rest of the fuses are useless to me.  over $10 for two tiny fuses seems a little much to me.  Any ideas where I could get just the fuses I need.  I need a 7 amp and a 10 amp.  I like to have spares on hand but don't want to buy a bunch of fuses I don't need.

This is topic close to my heart! On the first day i rode my new Agility City 125, the lights and dash instruments didn't work!! Later diagnosed as a cracked glass fuse. I think these fuses are cause a lot of problems with Kymco's. A more robust fuse would be a good idea, in my opinion. Anyone upgraded to better fuses????

The 7 amp fuse is part# 98200-10700.

The 15 amp fuse is part# 98200-11500.

You can order them from...

http://kymcopartsonline.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=1010_1023

The 15 amp is a Honda number. I bought some of them from a Honda dealer. Google either # and a bunch of places will come up where you can purchase them.

Thanks, I'll try that.  My super 8 has 7 and 10 amp fuses, no 15 amp

If you're up to it, replace the fuse holders with 1 1/4 X 1/4 inch fuse holders and use that size fuse. Found it all at Radio Shack.
