Can the Sup 8 150 use the same oil in rear end as in engine? Thinking of getting Amsoil 10W40. Is this weight approiate?

You need gear oil in the final drive, not engine oil.  The owners manual calls for SAE90.  I used Belray 80w90 in mine.

OK, thanks.

Wow, one quart of quality 80w90 <$10 and if info that S8150 takes 200ml per change is accurate then almost 5 changes. This machine looks like it is gonna cost me very little to operate and maintain  ;D

Can you tell me the milage intervals between engine oil and gear oil changes? I am fully confident that I will be able to do liquids at home.

How often do valves need adjustment? What other maintenance will I have to have dealer perform?

Per the manual.  Oil & final drive change @ 300km/180mi.   Oil change @ 1000km/600mi.  oil change @ 3000km/1800mi.  Oil & final drive @ 5000km/3000mi.  After that, oil change every 2000km/1200mi.  Final drive every 5000km/3000mi.  Clean the oil screen every other oil change.
Valve adjustments every 4000km/2400mi
Spark plug clean @2000km, replace @ 5000km
Air cleaner - clean @2000km, replace @ 5000km ( I doubt this is necessary - see how dirty it is)
drive belt - inspect @ 7000km

there's some other little stuff like inspect for loose bolts (I have found some loose bolts), clutch lever freeplay ( yeah right - clutch lever?), check tire pressure, lube brake cable).  I plan on doing all my own maintenence but I am considering having the dealer do the first valve adjustment & look it over for warrantee purposes.

If you do your own valve adjustments, you will be able to see how much the clearances change and probably do the adjustment less often.  I have found this to be the case on my motorcycles.

have you tried this?

10,000 kms oil change interval (approx. 4 months use) for four-stroke motorcycles all brands. Gulf Pride 4T Plus 20w40 API SM and Valve Train Wear JASO MA2, the highest rating.

20W-40?

Did you check recommended SAE gradation for your scoot?

Certainly not 20W-40... more likely 5W... or 10W-...

I live and ride 50 miles a day in Phoenix where the heat is always an issue.
I was thinking of installing an oil cooler...
Anyone have thoughts?
I am running Motorex 10w40 semi synth Scooter oil

but I might consider this 20w40 since I am riding in 110 degree F plus every day...
